From
time to time I receive requests from people
asking advice on photographic techniques or
how to apply certain post photographic effects.
Sometimes it's easier to produce a PDF
file with the instructions, particularly if
the answer contains a series of images. I
will be posting those answers on this page.

This
first tutorial shows you how to batch convert images
from one size to another or to rename a load of files from meaninless filenames
like DSCF0001, DSCF0002 into something more useful like Bristol001,
Bristol002 etc.
There are various
products on the market that will do this for you but I personally think that
you can't beat Irfanview.
It's quick,
it's efficient and above all it's FREE. Get your free copy here.

This is one of Media
Chance's famous and most popular free tools made for digital camera
owners. It uses few custom made image processes to enhance and clean digital
images. And the best is that it is free.

For
some time I have been using the
TomTom GO satellite navigation system.
I also frequent several forums
where people have been struggling
to download POI (Points of Interest)
to their SatNav system.
I
have therefore produced a 'how-to'
guide to help anyone who is in the
same position. It doesn't
really matter which SatNav system
you are using as the instructions
will apply to almost any device.

I've put together a document which may be useful for people who might want to
plan an itinerary for their TomTom SatNav system.
Despite it being written for a TomTom machine, the principles are straight
forward and the additional FREE software used will convert itineraries into
other SatNav formats.
